Mystery surrounds the deaths of a man and woman whose bodies were found in Melbourne home.
Police were conducting a welfare check at the property in Werribee, in the city’s south-west, when they made the grim discovery.
Neighbours were shocked when multiple police cars turned up.
The 31-year-old man and 29-year-old woman, believed to be partners, were found dead by officers late yesterday.
The alarm was raised by loved ones who hadn’t heard from the pair since Tuesday.
A number of police evidence markers were seen scattered across the backyard of the home, which is listed for sale.
The results of a postmortem will be key to piecing together what happened.
