Searchers have recovered the body of this missing man from a major river – but are still scouring its waters for a boy who disappeared almost two weeks ago.

Gardai have confirmed that the search for missing man Jordan Newman was stood down after a body was recovered from a stretch of the River Boyne between Slane and Newgrange in Co Meath on Saturday.

But the search of the same river is still taking place for 14-year-old Benjamin Spot – amid increased fears that he also fell into it.

Mr Newman, 28, had been missing from his native Navan since Monday, November 10.

There had been a major search of the Boyne and also on land for Mr Newman and that ended with his body being recovered on Saturday.
