Major update as horror bus crash turns fatal
A man has died after a bus crashed into a tree in Perth.
The Transperth bus slammed into the tree on the wrong side of the road on Joondalup Dr in Wanneroo about 11am on Thursday.
Seven passengers were rushed to hospital for treatment on a range of injuries.
Police on Friday confirmed a 61-year-old man critically injured in the crash tragically died overnight.
A 59-year-old female passenger critically injured remains in Royal Perth Hospital, where the bus driver is also receiving treatment.
Major Crash Investigators were spotted at the scene later on Thursday as inquiries continue into how the 56-year-old male driver lost control of the vehicle.

Police plea after death threat made toward bus driver
Fresh images have been released by police attempting to identify a woman who allegedly threatened to kill a bus driver.
The woman was told to leave the bus after reportedly swearing at other passengers on College St in Bruce, Canberra, on November 20.
While getting off the bus, she is alleged to have made threats to kill the driver.
She is described as Caucasian with a short and solid build.
At the time of the incident she was wearing a black hat, top, shorts and shoes while carrying two suitcases, multiple shopping bags, several paper bags and a blanket.
ACT Police note the images provided have been edited for clarity which has resulted in the colour of her clothes being altered.
Anyone who recognises the woman or has information regarding the incident has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
