Hayden Panettiere’s boyfriend Brian Hickerson has broken his silence through a lawyer.It was revealed earlier this week that her boyfriend Brian Hickerson’s brother, Zack, found her unresponsive at an apartment in South Carolina, before she was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Her cause of death is yet to be confirmed, but the Coroner’s Office sad there was “no signs of trauma”. According to the outlet, officers are carrying out a probe alongside the coroner, to determine the manner of death and if there was any ‘criminal conduct’.

Hickerson’s attorney Sloan Ellis, from the Ellis Hinton law firm told TMZ: “Hayden’s death remains under investigation and it is important to allow that investigation to proceed.

“As has been publicly reported, police confirmed there were no signs of foul play. Out of respect for Hayden’s loved ones and the ongoing investigation, there will be no further comment at this time.”

Her dad, Skip, announced her death in a devastating statement, which read: “It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen.”

Her mother Lesley spoke the first time on Tuesday, taking aim at her partner Brian Hickerson. She said: “I think Hayden was an amazingly talented person in so many departments and I think young people who grow up in the entertainment industry — it is a struggle and it’s a very challenging industry and it’s not unusual for them to sadly find the wrong path. This person in her life that we have been trying to get rid of for quite some time was with her at her death, and that was Brian Hickerson.”

It had been reported that the police were responding to a call about a suspected “cardiac arrest”, with a police report later revealing that both Hickerson and his brother were at the scene at the time of her death.

911 audio footage also heard dispatchers talk about a suspected overdose. Both Narcan and Epinephrine were reportedly brought to the scene by emergency services.

The Drug Enforcement Administration also reportedly joined the investigation into the death of the actress, according to the New York Times and ABC News.

Hayden’s death came just less than a week before her 37th birthday and she had made plans to visit her daughter, Kaya.”She was planning on spending the week of her birthday visiting her daughter in Germany,” an insider said, “She was so excited to see her and was telling everyone how much she was looking forward to spending time with her.”
