A Melbourne man has been arrested and flown across Australia to be charged with sexually assaulting a West Australian teenager.
Gumarn Yenpensook Coldicott, 31, is accused of grooming the young girl through social media before travelling to Perth to see and rape her in person.

Police allege he contacted a 15-year-old girl through social media and online gaming platforms.
9News understands those digital apps were TikTok and Discord.
Detectives allege after grooming the teenager, the Victorian man flew to Perth, where he exploited and raped the young girl over a three-day period in September.
She came forward four months later, leading to Coldicott’s arrest in Victoria and overnight extradition to Western Australia.
“The very nature that that engagement did occur across the country on gaming and/or social media platforms is concerning,” WA Police Commissioner Col Blanch said in a media conference.
Coldicott faced Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday, charged with three counts of sexual penetration of a child, one count of indecent dealing and indecent recording of a child.

He sat emotionless with his hands in his pockets as the serious charges were read.
The 31-year-old remained in custody on Wednesday and was expected to apply for bail later this month.
Blanch issued a warning for parents and young people.
“It just reinforces, if you’re a young person and you’re at home, parents should be involved in your life enough to know what you are doing and who you’re talking to because things like this sadly do happen,” he told reports.
