Darryl Young is on trial, accused of gunning down Mervyn and Maree Schwarz and Maree’s son Graham in 2022.

Kaitlin Jordan, the ex-partner of shooting survivor Ross Tighe, is expected to take the witness stand on day four of the triple murder trial against Darryl Young.

The 63-year-old is charged with murder over allegedly gunning down neighbours Merv and Maree Schwarz and Maree’s son Graham Tighe, and attempting to murder Ross at the front gate of his property at Bogie, on August 4, 2022.

Young has pleaded not guilty to all charges and his barrister Anthony Kimmins has argued that Young was not present when the four family members were shot.

In Townsville Supreme Court on Wednesday Mr Kimmins grilled Mr Tighe about text messages between him and Ms Jordan relating to money issues, their relationship and cannabis use.

Other witnesses called today could include another property owner and paramedics.
