One person has been airlifted to hospital for further treatment.
Five toddlers and a young woman have been rushed to hospital after a fire ripped through a house in South East Queensland.
Emergency crews were called to a home on Leslie Pde in Stanthorpe at 8.41am on Wednesday after reports a fire had broken out.
Queensland Fire Department said the fire had started in the stairwell of a two-storey brick house, with fire crews needing to remove part of the roof of the building.

Paramedics treated five toddlers and a woman aged in her 20s at the scene before they were rushed to Stanthorpe Hospital. Their exact conditions are still unknown.
It is understood one of the injured has been airlifted to hospital in Brisbane for further treatment.
The fire crews remained on scene dampening down the house before fire investigators were tasked with determining the cause of the blaze.
