A WOMAN and her lover have been jailed for killing two men in a honeytrap plot after spiking their drinks with a date-rape drug.

She would secretly lace their drinks with GBL to render them unconscious so she and partner Madalin Dumitru, 30, could steal from the men.
Gary Mouat, 37, and big game hunter Malcolm King, 80, both died as part of the honeypot plot.

Two other men, who can’t be named, were also poisoned by the pair, who are originally from Romania, but survived.
Mihai and Dumitru have now been jailed for 17 years each after they pleaded guilty to manslaughter and two counts of manslaughter and two counts of administering poison with intent to injure.
In a victim impact statement, Gary’s nine-year-old son asked the couple: “Why did you have to kill my dad, you could have just taken the money, he was really kind, he would have given it to you.
“You have ruined my life and all the plans we had to do things together. My family is destroyed now.
“I will never get over my dad being killed, I will never forget him and I will miss him for the rest of my life. I hope I make him proud.”
Oxford Crown Court heard the men hired Mihai expecting sexual services for around £170 an hour through a Vivastreet website.

Dumitru would drive her to an address and wait outside as she drugged her victims.
Mihai then stole watches, jewellery, aftershave and cash – although the value of the pilfered goods is not known.
Gary was discovered dead at his home in Banbury, Oxfordshire, on July 13 last year.
Once officers found he had been poisoned, Thames Valley Police issued a national bulletin to all other forces to share intelligence on other unexplained deaths.
Malcolm’s death on August 21, 2024, had initially been put down to a pre-existing health condition.
But following the alert, Gloucestershire Police re-examined his death and found he died after drinking wine laced with GBL.

Police believe Mihai and Dumitru stole his Rolex before fleeing his £4million Cotswolds home – leaving him to die alone.
He was found the following morning lying on the floor of the lounge by family friends, who were concerned he had not been in contact with anyone since the previous day.
An open bottle of wine was found nearby with two wine glasses.
Julian Evans KC, prosecuting, said: “In summary, Adina Mihai and Madalin Dumitru drugged their victims via the administration of GBL, a potent drug, concealed in alcohol,” he said.
“They did so with a specific purpose in mind: to render their victims unconscious inside their homes in order to steal property from them.
“To carry out this plan, the defendants offered sexual services from a woman to each victim for money.
“After contact was made through a website, and arrangements made by phone, Mihai and Dumitru drove to the home address of each victim.
“While Dumitru waited nearby, Mihai would enter the victim’s home. There, she would persuade the victim to drink alcohol laced with GBL to render them unconscious.
“Once the victim was unconscious, Mihai would look for property to steal. Then she would rejoin Dumitru, leaving the victim alone and unconscious.”
The court heard the third victim was poisoned after contacting Mihai on the escort site just hours after she killed Gary.
She arrived at his home with Dumitru in the early hours of the morning with a bottle of wine bought at a petrol station.
The man handed over £450 and slipped unconscious after drinking some of the alcohol – before waking up to find his watch missing.
A week later, the fourth victim, contacted Mihai and she arranged to meet for £360.
He drank vodka laced with GBL and had jewellery, aftershave and some documents stolen.
Officers are now keeping an open mind about the possibility of other victims but no other deaths or poisonings have been linked to the couple.
Detective Inspector Adam Stacey, of Gloucestershire’s major crime investigation team, urged anyone to come forward if they believe they are victims due to the large gap in offending.
“We worked with the National Crime Agency and other forces in efforts to identify whether there were other victims that may have died as a result of their crimes,” he said.
“There may well be other victims who have survived such druggings, or other targeting from them, but there have been no other homicide victims that we’ve been able to identify.
“We did identify some living victims during the course of our investigation, some of which featured in our case, others didn’t feature, so we know there are other victims out there.

“We do fully understand the sensitivities around why a victim might not want to come forward to us.
“The personal circumstances and the nature of what goes on is very obvious, but we are here to support those individuals, and I would encourage those victims to come forward.”
