Prince Harry reportedly took Meghan Markle and their two children, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor and Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, to visit the resting place of Diana, Princess of Wales — but this trip seems to be more than just a simple visit
The Duke of Sussex has previously indicated his intention to take his children to his mother’s resting place
Prince Harry took Meghan, Archie and Lilibet to Althorp Estate, Princess Diana’s ancestral home, where she was laid to rest, a royal commentator has suggested.
The Duke of Sussex, 41, was spotted leaving the estate in Northamptonshire on Saturday ahead of his final UK engagement, where he joined 200 youngsters for a session of goat yoga.
The prince had previously expressed his wish to bring his wife Meghan Markle, 44, and their children Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, to visit Diana’s grave.
While Meghan has visited once before, neither of his young children has made the trip.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News he believes the visit did take place, though the public was not informed.
“We don’t know how long Megan and the children were over,” he said.
“We assume that they must have visited Althorp and seen Diana’s grave.”
For some time, there had been doubts as to whether Archie and Lilibet would come to the UK at all.

After announcing they would join them for the trip, Harry sensationally went back on the proposals when it was revealed that his application for a security package had been denied by the Home Office and the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec).
The duke released a statement insisting he would continue to “explore every available option to enable the visit to proceed safely and to give his children the opportunity to enjoy the UK”.
Mr Fitzwilliams said security issues meant the “early part of the trip was a complete mess” but indicated that the predicament could be subject to change.
“The security situation could change,” he explained. “There are threats; he has a stalker, we know.

“The security issues are very much at the forefront of the moment. The situation is unsatisfactorily unresolved.”
He added: “I think people thought, and I thought, that he’d get it.
“He hasn’t, and so far still hasn’t, but that doesn’t mean he won’t in the future at some time because security is very much in the news at the moment, so it might happen.”
Due to the unresolved situation, Meghan flew out for the day with the children on Friday, when they met with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove, the King’s private Gloucestershire estate.
The gathering represented a remarkable breakthrough in relations between the two households.
For the King, it was his first encounter with his grandchildren in four years and merely his second meeting with young Lilibet.
Palace sources have confirmed that no photographs or details from the private family occasion will be made public.
The children did not join Harry in London over safety concerns, though it is unknown exactly how long they remained in the UK.
However, should the security debate be settled in Harry’s favour, the prince could return to the UK with his family for a prolonged period.
