Married At First Sight star Stella Mickunaite has revealed her ex-fiance, Filip Gregov, brutally dumped her via a phone call.
The former MAFS participants split recently just months after Filip proposed with a massive diamond ring at Final Vows of the Nine dating show in April – and apparently Stella was “completely blindsided” by the break-up.
“I never imagined I’d be writing something like this, but I feel it’s important to share my truth,” she began in a statement shared on Instagram Stories overnight.
“Filip ended our relationship. While he had clearly been processing that decision for some time, I genuinely believed we were working towards the same future. I was completely blindsided.”

The couple were considered the biggest success story of the season, as they left the experiment engaged and ready to build a life together. Melbourne-based Filip was even considering moving to Sydney to be with Stella, as discussed on the show.
However, in her statement, Stella said she was the one prepared to make the big move for their relationship.
“One thing I do want to clarify is that, despite what was shown on the show, I had made the decision to move to Melbourne,” she explained. “I own a business that I’ve spent years building, so it wasn’t as simple as packing a suitcase.”
“As our relationship grew, I believed moving to Melbourne made the most sense for us. It offered more family support, better work opportunities for Filip and a more affordable place for us to build a life together.”

Stella shared that she was “realistic about my biological clock” as she has wanted to start a family for a long time. And she “genuinely thought” she and Filip were on the same page.

“Instead, I received a phone call ending our relationship,” she revealed. “I am heartbroken, deeply saddened and, if I’m honest, incredibly embarrassed that something I believed in wholeheartedly didn’t work out the way I had hoped. While I respect that everyone has the right to choose what’s best for them, I also feel it’s important that the facts are clear.”

The heartbroken reality star then signed off by thanking her supporters.
“Thank you to everyone who has shown me kindness and support. It has meant more than you’ll ever know,” she concluded.
The break-up comes just weeks away from their one-year anniversary (the series aired from January to April but was filmed last year between August and November).
After news of the split broke on Monday, the MAFS bride addressed the break-up news on Instagram with an emotional message about reflection and regret.

“It would be easy to tell this story by deciding who was right and who was wrong,” she wrote alongside a selfie of herself sitting on a beach. “To point fingers. To protect my ego. To pretend I was perfect. But no. I’m not here for that. Far from it.”
“I made mistakes. I have regrets. And while those truths are painful to sit with … They’re also incredible gifts. But only if we choose to receive them that way. Only if we meet them with humility and a deep, honest look within ourselves.”
Filip has not directly addressed the break-up on social media, but fans have noticed Stella has been notably absent from recent photos taken from his everyday life with one follower asking, “Where is Stella?”
The former couple have since unfollowed each other on Instagram.
