THE suspicious disappearance of Katie Price’s husband Lee Andrews has had the nation gripped, but behind the mocking TikToks made by internet sleuths about his whereabouts, her family are consumed with worry over the devastating consequences of his going AWOL.

That’s because Katie’s mum, Amy and sister Sophie, who were against the whirlwind wedding from the start, had hopes of her escaping his clutches before any irreparable damage is done – but without knowing where he is, they fear it could be too late.

While a panicked Katie, 47, dreams of being reunited with her missing husband, her family are in crisis talks about how she’ll be able to break free from him in future.

Having been “relieved” at first to be shot of him, Katie’s loved ones soon realised that if he doesn’t return, the former glamour model is legally bound to him for the next two years.

It could mean her money is tied up with the conman, who was exposed by for pocketing £1,000 from The Sun’s Clemmie Moodie – the latest victim in a long line of women he has brazenly duped.

A source close to Katie told us: “Katie’s family are absolutely thrilled Lee has disappeared without a trace and hopes it stays that way.

“They are especially relieved that he never made it to the UK to meet her children or embed himself into her home and life.

“They are counting their lucky stars and all their dreams have come true.

“Unfortunately, Katie wouldn’t be told and had to find out the hard way, but they think she’s relatively unscathed compared to previous ends of marriages.

“The concern now, though, is how Katie will be able to divorce him if she can’t find him – she might have to wait at least two years to get a divorce or longer because he can’t sign the papers.

“There’s also the worry that he can profit off her in any way as her husband.”

We revealed how Lee had sent a frantic late-night text to wife Katie claiming he had been arrested before pleading with her to contact the embassy after sending her his “live location”, suggesting he was being taken to a hostile “black site”.

Confusingly, Lee then appears to suggest he has NOT been arrested – rather bundled into a van, and taken to an unknown destination.

CID headquarters has now confirmed that no one by Lee’s name has been arrested.

Baffled Katie has begged fans to help her track down the Dubai-based businessman, blasting allegations she is involved with Lee’s scamming to get media attention.

She fumed: “Everyone who is trying to speculate, take the p*ss and make jokes – this isn’t a scandal, it’s something that’s really happening, and there are real feelings involved. It could be going on for weeks, months, years, forever.

“This is not a publicity stunt, this is real, and anyone who thinks I am a part of it is disgusting.

“I’m really upset and distressed that people think I’m in on it. Are you joking? Come on, give me some credit, why would I do that?”

She now remains focused on finding answers as to what has happened to her husband, who reportedly has a travel ban preventing him from leaving Dubai, having served time at Al-Awir Prison for alleged financial fraud last October.

Katie is now working with Hertfordshire police, who are investigating Lee over allegations made by a former partner. She says they told her Interpol were investigating.

She still claims he has been kidnapped, having last heard from him last Wednesday in a video call, in which he was in the back of a van with cable ties on his arms.

However, the internet has been flooded with playful posts about Lee’s disappearance, with many mocking Katie’s theory.

One said: “Imagine if every woman who has been ghosted turned it into an international manhunt.”

The wild conspiracy theories have only been fuelled by the fact that Lee Andrews was active on social media yesterday, despite not speaking to his wife for a week.

TV star Luisa Zissman said: “Guys its the end of day one of looking for Lee Andrews in this missing persons case. I’m trying to bring Katie Price‘s husband home.

“So, discovered a few things. He was seen as ‘active’ on Facebook Messenger six hours ago, which does indicate his kidnappers are definitely letting him have access to social media.

“Makes you wonder why he hasn’t reached out to ask for help. Who knows. But I did see that whilst I did some digging on Facebook.”

Lee’s family, however, are taking it very seriously that he’s gone AWOL.

Lee’s mum, Trisha, 61, has filed a Missing Persons report with the British Embassy, saying she is concerned about his wellbeing and begged: “Please bring my son back.”

Thankfully, Katie has the strong support of her family around her as they do everything within their power to protect her.

But they fear the ss far short-lived marriage could have consequences well into the future.

One legal expert told The Sun that if Katie tried to divorce an absent Lee, she would face immediate problems.

The solicitor said courts are reluctant to progress a divorce unless it is satisfied that both spouses are aware of it. Only in extreme and rare circumstances, after exhausting all options to track down the location of the missing spouse, will a court be willing to formalise a divorce.

Applying for the process will take six months at least – but it is likely to be years before the court is willing to accept all efforts have been made to find them.

For her family, the concerns are Katie will not be able to make a clean break of it.

Our insider added: “For the moment, at least, she hasn’t lost any money.

“Katie is just beginning to understand what she’s done and is only just starting to feel sorry for his victims who she has profited from after Lee lavished her with expensive gifts, champagne and free holidays in Dubai.

“Katie is so shocked. She still thinks he’s going to turn up.”

Lee proposed to Katie just a week after they began speaking online.

The pair got married two days later, before having a second legal ceremony in Dubai, much to the dismay of her family.

She’s since flown out to Dubai on several occasions, but he’s failed to make it to the UK despite saying he would be coming many times.
