Emergency services rushed to the fatal scene and began desperately pulling injured passengers from the overturned vehicle.
All the injured travellers were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
According to local media, some were in a serious condition.
The victims’ bodies have been taken to the morgue in Bandirma Training and Research Hospital.
The major road was temporarily closed following the accident, but has since been reopened after the debris was safely removed.
Police have since launched an investigation to find out the cause of the fatal crash.
The tragic accident comes just months after eight people died when a bus plunged down a 50ft ravine.
Passengers were reportedly thrown from the packed vehicle as it skidded into the ditch in Turkey.
A further 26 people were injured in the crash, many of whom were left in critical condition.
It is understood some of the 34 passengers had been thrown out of the coach as it plummeted in the southern Turkish coastal city of Antalya.
The driver reportedly lost control of the steering wheel due to heavy fog and slippery road conditions while approaching a multi-level intersection.
Provincial Gov. Hulusi Sahin said: “The ground was wet and there was also fog in the area. It’s not a place to speed, but it seems the bus was speeding”.
The coach slammed into roadside barriers which broke from the impact.
Emergency workers and rescue teams arrived at the fatal site.
