AN ASYLUM seeker who fled Ireland after his girlfriend was found suffocated and battered to death allegedly entered the UK via a £10 visa loophole.
Ahmad Al-Saqar, 28, flew to Jordan after American mum-of-one Jamey Carney, 43, was found dead by her teenage daughter in Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland.

The Jordanian reportedly entered the UK as a tourist after buying a simple £10 electronic travel authorisation visa – a cheap document meant for short-term visitors.
After arriving in Britain, Al-Saqar then flew to Northern Ireland before going across the open border to Dublin, where he applied for asylum while posing as a refugee.
Thousands of migrants have exploited this same loophole, using short-stay UK clearance as a stepping stone to enter Ireland.
Al-Saqar is said to have met Jamey – who moved to Ireland in 2021 – at a local pro-Palestine protest, before they began a relationship.

But tragically, Jamey’s 13-year-old daughter, Michaela, discovered her body concealed under blankets at their home after returning from a sleepover on July 7.
An autopsy established she died from suffocation and was reportedly bludgeoned to death with a toilet cistern lid.
Cops found evidence that Al-Saqar fled the home in the early hours of July 7 and boarded a Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul, before travelling on to Jordan.
He was later tracked down by police and arrested, but his legal status remains uncertain as Ireland has no extradition treaty with the Middle Eastern kingdom.

Two Garda officers have flown to Jordan to try to arrange Al-Saqar’s return so that he can face a potential murder charge.
Al-Saqar was granted subsidiary protection in Ireland – a humanitarian protection for those who do not qualify as traditional refugees, but would still face a real risk of serious harm if returned to their country of origin.
It meant he had his passport returned, which would later allow him to flee before an international arrest warrant was issued.
While he has not yet been formally named as a suspect by Gardai, he is considered a person of interest.
Jamey was reportedly set to inherit around £500,000 following the death of her dad 11 months ago.
It meant she and her daughter were recently able to move into a plush house in a posher part of Killarney.
Jamey and Al-Saqar were together for several months and posted multiple pictures together on social media.
In a post, Jamey wrote about Al-Saqar: “He continues to show me what safe love is”.
In the days before her murder, he commented on his “beautiful family” in a photo of the couple together with her teenage daughter.
Al-Saqar, who is believed to have worked in construction, bragged to other migrants about his relationship with Jamey and even claimed they underwent an Islamic “marriage ceremony” at the local mosque.
Jamey’s family say they do not accept that anything that qualifies as a marriage happened.
The day after hearing of her murder, Jamey’s mum Kathy, a psychotherapist, and her sister Devon travelled to Killarney from America.
Her sister described her as an “insanely caring human being who dedicated so much of herself, her energy and time to fighting for the rights of others”.
Jamey, a native of Westchester in New York, quit her insurance job in the US to work for a healthcare consulting company in Killarney.
Her grandparents were Irish and she is said to have adored the country.
She was very active in cultural and sporting groups and believed it was a great and safe country in which to live and rear a child.
The people of Kerry are shocked and stunned that such a violent death happened in their area.
Meanwhile, Gardai continue to appeal to anyone with information regarding Jamey’s death to contact them.
