A 16-year-old boy was seriously injured in a st@bbing outside McDonald’s… but what happened after police arrived took the incident in an even more serious direction
A teenager has been charged over a stabbing outside a McDonald’s near Brisbane.
Police say that, during the altercation outside the fast food giant’s outlet on Albany Creek Road in Albany Creek in Moreton Bay on Thursday, a 16-year-old from Petrie suffered serious injuries when he was stabbed by a 17-year-old at about 8.15pm.
He was rushed to hospital where he is stable.
When police arrived at the scene, officers arrested a 17-year-old boy.
On Sunday morning, he was charged with one count each of wounding and unlawful possession of weapon category M – in this case, a knife.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in Brisbane Children’s Court on Monday.
