ROYAL APPEARANCE TAKES A SUDDEN TURN — AND NOW EVERYONE IS ASKING THE SAME QUESTION: PRINCESS ANNE STEPS OUT WITH MYSTERY INJURY… AND QUIETLY DELAYS HER SUMMER BREAK

Princess Anne delays summer break as she emerges with mystery injury

Princess Anne was recently dethroned as Britain’s hardest-working royal, but the Princess Royal is now skipping her summer break to carry out engagementsAnne, Princess Royal, waves while holding a bouquet of flowers and wearing a beige coat.

rincess Anne seems determined to reclaim the crown of ‘Britain’s hardest-working royal’ after King Charles snatched the honour from her in 2025.

So, while other royals started their summer break, the Princess Royal was continuing to carry out engagements, with the royal attending a rehearsal for the Royal Edinburgh Military Air Tattoo, which is due to start on Friday.

Anne met members of the armed forces

As she arrived, the 75-year-old was greeted by Robert Aldridge, the Lord Provost of the City of Edinburgh. Anne then met with members of the armed forces who are taking part in this year’s demonstrations.

It wasn’t just members of the British Army that Anne spoke to, as she was also seen interacting with members of the US Army Field Band, who will be providing music at the event, which runs until 29 August.

For her outing, Anne chose to wear a beige coat, finishing off her stylish ensemble with a tartan skirt, the perfect item for an outing in Scotland. She also wore a pair of black loafers and carried a matching bag with her.

The Princess Royal sported a mystery injury on her hand

As the Princess Royal lifted her hand to wave at the crowd, she displayed a new plaster on her finger, inadvertently showcasing a mysterious injury. While it is not known how the royal injured her hand, it is yet further evidence of her hardworking nature in the face of difficulties.

Royals at this year’s Commonwealth Games

Like other members of the royal family, Anne was recently spotted enjoying the Commonwealth Games, which were held in Glasgow. On day seven of the tournament, she watched the Women’s Tandem B Sprint Finals and Track Cycling.

The royal was a , in a light denim jacket, dark flared jeans and tied the look together with a pinstripe shirt and blue scarf. She wore her tresses in her signature French twist updo and added a slick of red lipstick to complete her look.

Anne’s younger brother, Prince Edward, was joined by his wife, the Duchess of Edinburgh, as they watched various events during the competition, and they even met up with the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children.

At one point, Sophie was seen leaning over to hug her great-niece. Although Charlotte returned the hug and was seen smiling, the young royal did appear to be distracted by the sports in front of her, looking down to the track.

Sophie looked absolutely marvellous in a patterned white shirt and denim skirt, while Charlotte wore a polka dot dress for the Games.

Other photos saw Sophie greeting Charlotte’s father, Prince William, before the Wales and Edinburgh families settled down to watch New Zealand’s Devon Briggs smash the world record in the Men’s Para-Cycling C3 1000m Time Trial.

While at the Games, Charlotte also watched netball and judo, while also meeting with the mascot of the event, Finnie. The young royal looked overjoyed to be meeting the unicorn, giving him a high-five, something that both of her brothers also replicated.
