🚨 COURT UPDATE — AN ATTORNEY HAS ISSUED A WARNING ABOUT THE JURY’S VISIT TO LINDSAY CLANCY’S HOME… AND IT IS NOW DRAWING SIGNIFICANT ATTENTION

The trial of Lindsay Clancy is set to resume Monday after jurors visited the Massachusetts home where prosecutors say she killed her three children.

The 18-member jury, made up of 12 women and six men, toured the Duxbury home Friday to gain a better understanding of the layout and evidence presented during the trial.

Tommy Pope, a trial attorney, told NewsNation that crime scene visits can be beneficial but also carry risks.

“The biggest concern you have is that you’ve worked so hard to have a jury, and then you have one citizen walking down the road saying ‘burn her’ or ‘convict her’ that could taint the jury,” Pope said. “That’s why you saw so much security.”

Pope said seeing the scene firsthand can also help jurors better understand testimony and evidence as they evaluate the charges.

Clancy, 35, is charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of her children: 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan.

Prosecutors allege Clancy strangled the children with exercise bands before attempting suicide by jumping from a second-story window.

Her attorneys say the fall left her paralyzed from the waist down and argue she was suffering from postpartum psychosis at the time of the killings.
