IT’S JUST NOT FAIR THAT WE CONTINUE TO LOSE SO MANY YOUNG PEOPLE THIS WAY..! – EIGHT TEENS CHARGED AFTER A 21-YEAR-OLD D!ED FOLLOWING AN ALLEGED WILD GANG BRAWL OUTSIDE A LOGAN HOUSE PARTY.
Eight teenagers have been charged with murder after an out-of-control party descended into an alleged wild brawl that left one young man dead.
Jongkuch Peter Kur Jongkuch Achieu, from Redbank Plains, had his life support switched off last Saturday, five days after he was allegedly savagely attacked in the early hours of July 26 outside a short-term rental on Discovery Boulevard in Logan.
The Sudanese man was 21 years old.
Four arrests were made on Thursday after police executed a number of search warrants, and a further four arrests were made on Sunday.
On Sunday, three 18-year-olds from Acacia Ridge, Sunnybank and Inala respectively were arrested and charged, along with a 17-year-old from Doolandella.
Two will appear in Richlands Magistrates Court and two in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.
Those arrests follow those on Thursday, of 18-year-olds Joshua Jackson John Jirima and Kandour Khalil Tagelsir, and 19-year-olds Amnaud Nduwayo and Sunday Obol.
When police were first called to the wild party, officers found significant damage to a number of vehicles parked on the street, as well as damage to a residence.

As attendees fled the scene, officers discovered Mr Jongkuch on a nearby street with significant head injuries.
He was given CPR at the scene before being rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition. However, he could not be saved.
Members of the South Sudanese diaspora paid tribute to their ‘brother’ and called for more action to prevent tragedies like this involving gangs.
‘It’s just not fair that we continue to lose so many young people this way. May God protect and comfort his family during this incredibly difficult time,’ one person commented.
Another said: ‘What a tragic loss this is! I think we can be better than this, to be honest.’
It comes as frightened neighbours reported fearing for their lives as the brawl unfolded.
‘Very rowdy. It was pure chaos, they were running all over the place (and) smashing things,’ a woman told 7News.
Another neighbour said: ‘We didn’t want to look and be targeted ourselves, so we bunkered down until police came.’
