A trio of thugs hit a Yarra Ranges flower farmer in a head-on collision after speeding on the wrong side of the road in a stolen Porsche during a crime spree.
The luxury car was stolen from a 44-year-old mother and her teenage son at knifepoint in the driveway of their Bentleigh home, in Melbourne’s south-east, about 9.20pm on Friday.

Neighbours heard screams and crying for help, while one witness said the woman was terrified after being kicked out of her car. The woman suffered minor injuries.
“All hell broke loose,” a neighbour told 9News.
The Porsche owner sustained a minor injury during the ordeal. Her husband told 9News their sense of safety has been shattered and are among those pleading for a stronger justice system.
The stolen Porsche was allegedly driving without its lights on. It sparked a police pursuit, which was abandoned just before the head-on collision.

“I saw their car and then all the police just within a few seconds were bang on the scene, guns drawn, it was like a full-on scene out of a movie,” he told 9News.
The farmer was travelling to Melbourne Market with around $10,000 worth of fresh flowers.
Now the 51-year-old is at The Royal Melbourne Hospital with a fractured sternum and broken ankle, and is out of work.
“I’ve lost one of my key vehicles and I’m out of action for, it looks like, six weeks.”

The suspected driver, a 19-year-old Pakenham man, had to be extracted from the wreckage and was taken to hospital.
He along with his passengers, an 18-year-old woman and 21-year-old man, all remain in hospital under police guard.
“Their terrible choices are just going to really turn my life upside down and my family’s life,” Broussard said.
