An epic trailer from Netflix has unveiled the star-studded new sci-fi series from the minds behind Stranger Things.
Fans of shows like Stranger Things and films like The Thursday Murder Club are in for a treat as Netflix has unveiled a first look at an upcoming sci-fi series.
The show follows a group of retirement community residents who must stop an otherworldly threat from stealing the one thing they don’t have – time.
Streaming giant Netflix released a trailer for the upcoming series, which has been produced by Stranger Things bosses, The Duffer Brothers.
Fans took to X to express their excitement and they are already anticipating it could be better than Stranger Things itself, which had a controversial ending.
The series in question is titled The Boroughs, with one fan sharing: “Stacked cast and a wild premise, this could be a sleeper hit.”

A third shared: “The Duffer Brothers back again with another banger show they just can’t miss, this is going to be Stranger Things-level good.”
A fourth commented: “Excited to see this actually! Looks kinda insane!” While a fifth added: “The concept is strong, retirement home misfits fighting to protect time itself sounds like a creative twist, especially with that lineup.”
The series stars some huge names like Bill Pullman, Alfred Molina, Geena Davis, Alfre Woodard, Clarke Peters and Denis O’Hare.

The show has been created by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews, and it was filmed across Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The series combines “the things each of us loves most, which is I love monsters, and Will has been a 70-year-old since he was 10 years old,” Addiss told Netflix’s Tudum.
Matthews added he has “an affinity for the vintage”, sharing: “I would want to live at The Boroughs if it weren’t for a pesky monster problem.”
The new trailer reveals how, soon after moving in, Sam (Molina) has a “terrifying encounter that reveals something monstrous stalking the perfectly manicured cul-de-sacs”.
The Boroughs airs on Netflix on May 21
