Horror fans have been told to watch one of the most ‘underrated’ films on Amazon Prime if they’re after a proper scare. Film critic Eccy Reviews, who reviews TV programmes and cinema releases, has highlighted a ‘slept-on’ horror picture – claiming it to be “one of the scariest I’ve ever seen”.

Discussing As Above So Below, the 2014 horror production that tracks a group of companions navigating the catacombs beneath Paris’ most renowned boulevards. Its IMDb synopsis states: “Miles of twisting catacombs lie beneath the streets of Paris, the eternal home to countless souls. When a team of explorers ventures into the uncharted maze of bones, they uncover the dark secret that lies within this city of the dead.”

“A journey into madness and terror, As Above, So Below reaches deep into the human psyche to reveal the personal demons that come back to haunt us all.”

Penned by John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle, the picture features Perdita Weeks, Ben Feldman, and Edwin Hodge, and has secured one accolade and six nominations.

Another commented: “I knew very little going into this movie and it did not disappoint.

“Originally I gave this movie 6/10 but upon hitting up the Trivia section and realising some subtle intricacies I’d missed and just how much detail was in the movie I bumped up to an 8/10. One of the best finds I’ve found in a while.”
