Prince Harry has made a rare admission about his children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet in a podcast appearance filmed when he was in the UK. The Duke of Sussex, who was back in his home country last week, took some time out of his busy schedule to appear on the Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast.

The episode, which aired tonight, saw the prince talk about many topics. This ranged from the Invictus Games, to his full name, and even his grooming routine. However, one of the most important topics mentioned was about trauma and difficult days in life.

This prompted the duke to talk about his two children – Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five – and how they make him smile on a difficult day.

Speaking about his children, Harry said: “I think yes, the resilience of kids is amazing, and the way that they view life is so incredibly refreshing.

“If a day is hard, one thing I will do is always squeeze my kids that extra extra tight.”

Harry lives with his children and wife Meghan Markle in Montecito, California.

However, they spent some time apart last week, with Harry flying to the UK last Monday.

His family were supposed to come with him, but security concerns following the revelation he would not get armed police protection meant he delayed his wife and children visiting until he sorted out his own private security

Meghan, Archie and Lilibet then flew over on Friday to spend some time in Britain with Harry, which included a reunion with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove.

It is believed the family also spent time at Harry’s uncle Earl Charles Spencer’s home, where it is rumoured they stayed.
