A FAMILY GATHERING ENDED IN UNIMAGINABLE TRAGEDY… – Authorities have charged a primary school teacher over the alleged s3xual assault and m-u of his sister-in-law while his wife was out of town.
A US music teacher sexually assaulted and strangled his sister-in-law — whom he’d reportedly been lusting over for nearly a decade — while his wife was away on a hens party, police and prosecutors have alleged.
Joseph Horner, 27, killed Victoria Castle, his wife’s 25-year-old sister, at their shared home in Long Island, New York, and then called the cops on himself around 8:45am on Monday, the local police department said.
Horner, a primary school music teacher, lived in the upstairs apartment of the multi-family house with his wife, and Ms Castle lived in the ground-floor unit, local outlet ABC7 reported.
During his first court appearance since being charged, prosecutors claimed Horner took advantage of his wife’s absence to act on urges he had for her sister – whom he’d allegedly lusted after since 2017.

The music teacher is said to have asked his sister-in-law, a PhD student at Stony Brook University, to help him move a piano.
Then he allegedly attacked her from behind — placing her in a chokehold until she went limp, disrobed her and raped her.
After the brutal attack, Horner called emergency services and waited for the cops to show up, immediately admitting to detectives that he had choked his sister-in-law and had sex with her, prosecutors said.

He was arrested and charged at the scene, the New York Post reports.
Paramedics rushed Ms Castle to a local hospital, where she died less than an hour after the 911 call, according to authorities.
Horner is said to have had a fascination with his sister-in-law, whom he’d met at the same time he met his wife in 2016, police claimed.
Horner was charged with second-degree murder and is currently being held without bail, according to prosecutors. He pleaded not guilty.

“His family is devastated by the loss of their family member, Victoria, as well as the allegations against their son, Joe.”
