England Legend Stuns Fans as He and His Glam Wife Sign Up for I’m A Celeb Spin-Off in Unexpected TV Return
FOOTIE star Rio Ferdinand and wife Kate have become the first married couple to sign up for ITV’s widely hyped I’m A Celeb spin-off show.
The pair are in the final stages of negotiating a big-money deal to join a raft of top names to begin filming I’m A Celebrity: Wild Frontier in Canada next month.

They will be asked to join forces and tackle a series of daredevil challenges and Bushtucker Trials.
It will be former Manchester United and England defender Rio’s first real venture into reality TV as he joins his influencer partner on the new series, hosted by Ant and Dec.
A source said: “Bosses are overjoyed to have landed the Ferdinands. It’s a real coup for the show.
“They have brilliant chemistry and are great fun. It will be the first time viewers have really seen Rio away from football chat, too.
“ITV are still in talks with some other brilliant names and this show promises to be absolutely spectacular — and a real social media talker.”
Former Westlife and Boyzone stars Brian McFadden and Keith Duffy have reportedly each signed a £100,000 deal to appear in the programme, which airs next year.
Rio and ex-Towie reality TV star Kate’s deal is likely to dwarf that.
News of this latest version of the hugely popular Bafta-winning series comes three months after the explosive finale of the South African version.

The show, which was filmed last year and featured campmates from previous series, averaged more than five million viewers a night, and was mired in controversy.
In the live studio final boxing champ David Haye and football’s Jimmy Bullard got into an ugly row with the winner, Waterloo Road actor Adam Thomas, after several clashes in camp.

A source said at the time: “This has all been very hush-hush, but everyone involved is really excited.
