Princess Eugenie Wants a Drama-Free Birth as New Claims Emerge About Family Tensions
Princess Eugenie BANS parents Andrew & Fergie from major life event – their response is shocking
Eugenie is putting her foot down as she fears this big moment could descend into a ‘circus’
It could be just weeks now until the Royal Family are set to welcome their newest member – baby Brooksbank!
Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, are preparing to welcome their third child this summer; a new brother or sister for August, five, and Ernest, three.
The past few months of her pregnancy have no doubt seen Eugenie experience a concerning amount of stress as the furore surrounding her parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, has shown no signs of slowing down.
Then last month, it was the turn of Eugenie and her sister Princess Beatrice to endure the eye of the storm when an audit by The National Audit Office (NAO) reported that King Charles covers the accommodation costs for non-working royals’ homes, meaning that the sisters live rent-free in their properties within the Royal Family’s London palaces.
These latest allegations only intensified the scrutiny of the whole family at a vulnerable time for Eugenie, so it’s little surprise that we’re told that the Princess has refused for one major life event to descend into a ‘circus’ – her upcoming birth.
Eugenie, 35, is likely to give birth at the prestigious Portland Hospital in London – where she welcomed her sons and was born herself – and the source says Andrew and Sarah have been left appalled as they are banned from the delivery room and beyond.

A source reveals, ‘Eugenie’s number one priority is having this baby with the absolute minimum of fuss. She doesn’t want the hospital turning into a circus and she’s made that very clear.
‘Unfortunately, her parents are not taking it well and she’s getting a ton of pushback from Andrew and Sarah. Andrew is fuming and taking it as a personal insult. He doesn’t seem to care that if he’s there it will become the main focus, which is the last thing Eugenie wants.’
While Andrew now spends the majority of his time holed up at Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate, it was revealed in April that Sarah had been staying at a £2000-a night ski resort in the Austrian mountains.
However, having not been spotted since then, the widely dubbed ‘disappearing Duchess’ was presumed to have moved on. The only hint that Sarah, 66, may have stayed local, was the presence of her daughters at a wedding in Austria’s capital city of Vienna last month.
Stepping out in Austria while the rest of the family celebrated the Trooping the Colour parade at Buckingham Palace, we were recently told how the sisters did make the three-hour journey to Salzburg, close to where their mother is staying, for an ‘incredibly emotional’ reunion.

But last month, for the UK’s Father’s Day on 21st June, both Beatrice and Eugenie appeared to all but deny their father’s existence.
Instead, Eugenie wrote her own gushing social media post about her husband Jack Brooksbank, with whom she shares sons August, five, and Ernest, three, describing him as ‘the best there is…’, with no mention of her own father whatsoever.
Following this very public snub, we’re told that Andrew has now become so ‘defensive’ that he perceives the decision by his youngest daughter to ban him from meeting his new grandchild at the hospital as further proof of disloyalty.
The insider says, ‘If Andrew wasn’t already so bent out of shape about the way he feels he’s being treated by the family, this probably wouldn’t even be on his radar. He adores his grandchildren, of course he does, but he’s never been the sort of granddad who insists on hovering over every birth the way Sarah tends to.
‘The problem is he’s become so defensive that he’s looking for any little sign that the girls are distancing themselves from him and he’s latched onto this as though it’s some huge test of loyalty. In his mind, Eugenie ought to be proving she’s still firmly in his corner by at least letting him come to the hospital and feel part of it all.’

It’s now been months since the girls were last photographed or reported to have met with their father. Eugenie is believed not to have seen him since before Christmas, whilst Beatrice, 37, was photographed taking her daughter Sienna horse-riding with Andrew in Windsor in January, before his arrest in February under suspicion of misconduct in public office.
And the source says Andrew is simply ‘misisng the point’ and cannot understand that a hospital maternity ward is not the time or the place for Eugenie to put on a public display of togetherness with her father – an event that would ultimately turn what should be a special and private moment into a ‘PR exercise’.
‘Eugenie keeps telling him that’s completely missing the point. For her this isn’t the time to be making some big public statement; it’s simply about having the birth she wants with as little fuss and distraction as possible,’ the source says.
